Why Curtis Appliance Exists

Curtis Appliance started in a one-bedroom apartment kitchen with a broken $40 drip coffee maker and a Saturday spent comparing spec sheets at three different big-box stores, only to find the same machine listed at three different prices. Every option was either underpowered or double the price for a sticker with a fancier logo. We wanted a straight answer: which appliance actually works, and what it really costs to own.

So we built the store we wished existed. Every espresso machine, air fryer and blender we carry goes through a two-week kitchen trial in our own test kitchen before it's listed, and we buy directly from manufacturers instead of routing through resellers who mark up the price and hand you a grey-market warranty. That means you get the same appliance sold in stores, tested by us, at a price without the showroom overhead.

We're still a small team, and every warranty claim gets answered by someone who has actually used the machine you're calling about, not a call center script. That's not going to change as we grow past our first few years.
